दुःखेष्वनुद्विग्नमनाः सुखेषु विगतस्पृहः |

duḥkheṣvanudvignamanāḥ sukheṣu vigataspṛhaḥ .

2.56 He whose mind is not shaken by adversity, who does not hanker after pleasures, and is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady wisdom.

Why this verse: One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries, who is equipoised in happiness and distress — that person is fixed in perfect knowledge.

BG 2.70Bhagavad Gītā

आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं

āpūryamāṇamacalapratiṣṭhaṃ samudramāpaḥ praviśanti yadvat .

2.70 He attains peace into whom all desires enter as waters enter the ocean which, filled from all sides, remains unmoved; but not the man who is full of desires.

Why this verse: The ocean remains full and steady even as rivers pour into it. One who is not agitated by desires attains peace — not by suppressing them, but by being larger than them.
