Duty vs. desire, decision paralysis
I know what I should do but I don't want to · My heart and my duty are at war · I can't choose between two paths
karmaṇyevādhikāraste mā phaleṣu kadācana .
Why this verse: Perform your duty without attachment to the results. This is the defining teaching on how to act when the heart resists.
yogasthaḥ kuru karmāṇi saṅgaṃ tyaktvā dhanañjaya .
Why this verse: Perform your duty equipoised, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called yoga — the art of acting without being torn.
