श्रीभगवानुवाच |

śrībhagavānuvāca .

6.35 The Blessed Lord said Undoubtedly, O mighty-armed Arjuna, the mind is difficult to control and restless; but by practice and by dispassion it may be restrained.

Why this verse: The Blessed Lord said: O mighty-armed son of Kunti, it is undoubtedly very difficult to curb the restless mind, but it is possible by constant practice and by detachment.

BG 6.12Bhagavad Gītā

तत्रैकाग्रं मनः कृत्वा यतचित्तेन्द्रियक्रियः |

tatraikāgraṃ manaḥ kṛtvā yatacittendriyakriyaḥ .

6.12 There, having made the mind one-pointed, with the actions of the mind and the senses controlled, let him, seated on the seat, practise Yoga for the purification of the self.

Why this verse: Practice and detachment are the means to control the mind. One must practice with determination and faith, not letting the mind deviate from the path.
