सुखदुःखे समे कृत्वा लाभालाभौ जयाजयौ |

sukhaduḥkhe same kṛtvā lābhālābhau jayājayau .

2.38 Having made pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat the same, engage thou in battle for the sake of battle; thus thou shalt not incur sin.

Why this verse: Fight for the sake of fighting alone, without considering happiness or distress, loss or gain, victory or defeat. This is the yoga of uncompromising resolve.

BG 2.20Bhagavad Gītā

न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचिन्

na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin nāyaṃ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ .

2.20 It is not born, nor does It ever die; after having been, It again ceases not to be; unborn, eternal, changeless and ancient, It is not killed when the body is killed.

Why this verse: The soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. It is not burned when the body is burned — an indestructible core to draw strength from.
